The food , the service the cause is all worth it! I normally don't give 5 stars because there is always something that can be done better, but, when a business consider people over profits , 5 stars is an understatement.

Ate at his museum pop up. Best pizza I've had in the city. Lamb pizza was absolutely spectacular!

The inside is nice and clean, I wish I'd grabbed photos. (Will on next visit). The service was quick since I ordered for pickup and had a great small chat. The pizza was hitting on some! I'm not a big fan of deep dish but this was a great deep dish for me. The sauce was good, the cheese was great, and the pepperonis brought it all together. The dough was fluffy and soft b it had a nice crust on the edges to give a crunch. Will definitely be back, and the pizza size regardless of what other reviews say is big enough lol, it's a deep dish, 1 pizza is shareable.

Down North Pizza put a spin on the crust. It is crunchy on the edge and chewy in the center. For me, pizza is just as much about the crust as the topping. This crust is akin to foccacia bread. Not thin crust, NY or Chicago style. The toppings are creative and lend themselves well to the crust. The tomato-to-crust to topping ratio is spot on. I like it!

Best pizza in Philly (if you're a deep dish lover)! The dough is nice and buttery and only slightly crispy at the edges. I got the Roc the Mic pizza, which had the perfect amount of cheese, tomato, and pepperoni. I was a bit skeptical of the beef pepperoni (there doesn't seem to be any pork of the menu), but it hardly tasted different him pork pepperoni. Will be ordering from here again soon!

I cane during the last 30minutes and almost missed ny opportunity to taste the BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD!!! Oh my gosh... it's perfect from start to finish!! It's moist and all the toppings have their individual taste so every bite is full of flavor. I absolutely love the mission and intent behind the business. I received service from the chef/owner himself! What a pleasant surprise!! This is going on my MUST HAVE list while in Philly. I recommend you stop by. Order delivery or pick up. Be patient as they serve so many hungry people all day. I promise it's worth the wait.

This place has been on my list for some time and I was fortunate to visit at a downtime. Amongst a city full of pizza shops, Down North stands out among the greats. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!

Some recommended this place. I was in the area, so I called in my Oder Parking: Residential Street Atmosphere: small, bright with nice wall decor. You can dine in as well as takeout. You have to use a card in order to place an order over the phone. Service: It was good. The cook and counter guy was going back and forth about inventory, so that was a little uncomfortable, but Pizza: I ordered their popular Roc The Mic, which is 4 Cheese + Beef Pepperoni + Norf Sauce (spicy). It was made to order, and it came out piping hot! I didn't taste spicy and would have liked more cheese and flavor. The pizza is a deep dish square pizza. $23 for the size was steep to me. I didn't eat all of it and reheated it the next day, and it didn't taste that good. Drink: lemonade. Strawberry, I believe, and it was good. Overall, the pizza was ok (not worth $23). Maybe the next time if I go back, I'll split it with someone, get extra cheese, and eat my portion in one sitting and

Pizza alone is 3 stars but I'm giving them an extra star because I like their mission and I want them to continue to succeed as a business as what they're doing is super important. Overall if you are BBQ chicken pizza fan you would love this place as their norf tomato sauce as other reviews have mentioned is pretty sweet and has a mild chipotle / bbq sauce type of flavor . Since they drench every red pie with this stuff I'd assume every red pie will pretty much taste the same ...bbq chicken even though ironically there is no bbq chicken pizza on the menu . My red pie ( uptown vibe ) had veggies and that's it but again tasted like a bbq chicken pie from California pizza kitchen . Not my personal taste / cup of tea personally but to each their own . I know there are a lot of people that like sweet tomato sauce and or semi sweet pizzas and so would love this place ! I also ordered a say yes which I liked a bit more as it is a white pie and didn't have the norf sauce . Toppings were a little dry but overall pretty tasty - I would definitely comeback and order earlier in the week to try their infamous break you off . I have a feeling I'd like that pie the most since I'm a huge fan of white pies and lamb sausage . It's also always sold out so I'm assuming it's their most popular for a reason . Overall I'd recommend checking this place out if you're into sweet pies ( fans of pineapple on pizza should apply ) as well as the bbq chicken pie lovers . Lastly if and when you check this place out I'd recommend going to the restaurant directly and checking your order before you leave . I ordered my pizza on ubereats and paid a premium for delivery as prices are inflated in the app and my order contained the wrong items even after they supposedly switched out the wrong items ( hence my limited review ) for the correct ones according to my Uber driver .
